Mumbai: Ever since the plans of a sequel to Dabangg were announced, it's been constantly in the news. The latest is that the film will concentrate more on the conflict between Salman Khan's character Chulbul Pandey and Sonu Sood, who is said to return as the twin brother of Chhedi Singh.

Also, producer Arbaaz Khan, who's turning director with this one, won't be returning to play Makhan Singh.

According to reports, Salman is playing an important part in the scripting of the movie, along with Arbaaz. Contrary to reports, it was Sallu who first rejected the idea of moving the setting from a small town to a big city when the sequel was announced last year.

When contacted, Arbaaz said, "Yes, the sequel is happening. It's a continuation, so the characters that were initially involved, will be a part of the sequel too." About his absence from Dabangg 2, he said, "If there are any new characters, they will be talked about when things are final."

He further informed that the shooting would start in 2012. "The film will release only in 2013. So what's the beauty of revealing everything before starting the movie?" he said.

Probed about the change in the location, he conceded that Dabangg is synonymous with certain kind of genre. "Whatever changes are there, you'll see when you see the movie," reasoned Arbaaz.

"The sequel will be on a bigger scale, hopefully better. Otherwise, what's the point of making a sequel," he further added.
