Actor Gulshan Devaiah made headlines recently for teasing his co-star Vijay Varma about his rumoured relationship with Tamannaah Bhatia, on stage. The actor teased his Dahaad co-star at the premiere of the web series. Now, in an interaction with Hindustan Times, Gulshan Devaiah has shared his thoughts on the dating rumours and his viral joke. “ Yes, I started the Tamannaah joke and it went viral. He took it sportingly. We are friends and we respect each other a lot. I would never want to put him down. I knew I could tease him a little bit. It was well within the boundaries. It's not nearly close to how I would tease him in reality,” Gulshan Devaiah was quoted as saying.
In the same interview, Gulshan Devaiah was asked whether the rumours of the two actors dating are true. Refusing to comment, the actor said, “I have no idea. I haven't even met her. I have seen just media reports and pictures of them together and started teasing. However, he added the two stars have very good chemistry. “But by the looks of his, rather than me confirming, his face says something. Kuch toh hai. Kya hai exactly pata nahi (There is something but what is it exactly, I don't know). They do look like they have very good chemistry. I'm sure that means something.”
For context, at the premiere of Dahaad, Gulshan Devaiah was seen telling Vijay Varma, “Humari bari tamannaah thi ki aap hase (It was my wish that you smile a little),” making Vijay Varma blush and Sonakshi Sinha burst out laughing.
Rumours of Vijay Varma and Tamannaah Bhatia dating gained momentum after they attended Diljit Dosanjh's Mumbai concert together in December, last year. Following this, they have been spotted together on several instances.
Meanwhile, as mentioned above, Gulshan Devaiah and Vijay Varma were last seen together in Dahaad, a crime drama that was also headlined by Sonakshi Sinha.
About the performance of the lead actors, NDTV's Saibal Chatterjee noted, “The performances are marked by restraint and impressive acuity, with Sonakshi Sinha shining in a role that gives her room to convey a gamut of emotions.
