Cole to go on skiing trip with boyfriend for new year's

London: Pop star Cheryl Cole will bringin the New Year with a romantic skiing holiday with boyfriendDerek Hough.

The Fight For This Love hitmaker is heading to theRocky Mountains in north-west America where her dancer beauhas booked a private villa in a luxury hotel resort, reportedMirror online.

The 27-year-old singer is desperate to toast the endof her "annus horribilis", during which she divorcedfootballer Ashley Cole and almost died from malaria.

Hough, 25, is delighted she will be with him becausehe was "devastated" that they were apart for Christmas Day.

While Cole headed to her native north-east to spendtime with her mum Joan, 50, her older sister Gillian, 31, andher three children, Hough was with his family in the US.

But the pair did see each other yesterday, talking fornearly an hour on the video-calls internet site Skype.

"Derek and Cheryl wished each other Merry Christmasand spoke excitedly about last-minute details of their holidayin the Rockies. Derek wanted to be with Cheryl on ChristmasDay and he was gutted and heartbroken she wasn't able to makeit. So sharing a call on Skype was the next best thing. Derekis just really looking forward to their holiday now," said asource.

"He's booked an amazing hotel where they will havelots of privacy and some time to relax. Derek is excellent onthe slopes and he can't wait to teach Cheryl a few moves," thesource added.
