Baena Opens Up About Her Affair With Schwarzenegger

London: Arnold Schwarzenegger's formerhousekeeper has broken her silence on her affair with theactor that led to the breakdown of his marriage with wifeMaria Shriver.

Mildred Baena, who is also the mother ofSchwarzenegger's lovechild, says Shriver cried with her afterconfronting her and discovering the truth.

The 50-year-old talked about the moment Shriverdiscovered the sordid secret that she had kept for almost 14years in an interview with Hello magazine.

"Maria did ask me directly if Joseph was Arnold's sonand I just broke down. I dropped to my knees and I was crying,saying that, yes, he was and I was so sorry," Guatemala-bornBaena said.

"She was so strong. She cried with me and told me toget off my knees. We held each other and I told her it wasn'tArnold's fault, that it takes two. That is what I admiredabout her, her strength and the way she handled it," theformer housekeeper added.

Baena, however, denied that she had a lengthy affairwith the former California governor, saying the actor learnedabout his lovechild only recently.She believes suspicions were raised when she broughtthe 13-year-old over to the Schwarzenegger's home last summerafter a long absence.

The physical similarities between the youngster andhis biological father had become too obvious to ignore, andBaena believes that Shriver decided to confront her afterhearing whispers in the house.

The housekeeper, who worked for the family for 20years, says Shriver, 55, did question her indirectly on thetopic before finally confronting her late last year."She would say things like, 'I'm here if you want totalk.' She would ask if I needed to talk to her and I keptsaying no. Finally, she asked point blank."

Baena revealed that Shriver even asked her to remainwith the family until after the holidays, despite her offer toleave immediately.
