NEET Result 2020 Live Updates: The Supreme Court of India today directed the NTA to conduct a special exam of NEET on October 14, for candidates who could not appear for in NEET Exam in September due to COVID-19 infection or because of residing in containment zones. NEET Result 2020, which was expected today, will now be announced on October 16. Along with the release of the NEET result, NTA would also release the NEET 2020 Rank List for All India Quota (AIQ). Agency will share the state wise NEET merit list with the respective authorties to conduct the NEET counselling for 85 per cent medical and dental seats. For 15 per cent AIQ, the NEET ranks and marks will vary. The students are required to secure 50 percentile to qualify NEET, however, getting admission in a medical college will be based on the candidate's NEET rank. The number of seats under the 15% All India Quota is limited to the Government Medical Colleges only.

NEET exam 2020 was held on September 13 amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Around 15.97 lakhs aspirants registered for the NEET exam 2020. Out of total registered aspirants, Over 85-90 per cent of 15.97 lakh candidates appeared in NEET 2020 exam, as per education minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank'.
