Mercury drops below 10 degree in Delhi

Delhi: Delhiites woke up to a chilly morning today with the mercury sliding below ten degree mark for the first time this winter.

The minimum temperature was recorded at 9.9 degree Celsius, which is normal for this time of the year, early in the morning. Yesterday, the minimum was at 11.7 degree Celsius.

"It was chillier than other mornings this month," said a MeT official.

The day began with shallow fog but it did not hamper the operations at the international airport here. The sun came out as the day progressed.

The weatherman has predicted that the next two days will be chilly with the minimum likely to remain at around nine degree Celsius.
