A hot, muggy Thursday morning in Delhi

New Delhi: It was a hot and humid start to Thursday as a cloud cover enveloped Delhi and the minimum temperature rose two notches above the average, India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.

The minimum temperature was recorded at 30 degrees Celsius while the maximum is expected to hover around 36 degrees, an IMD official said.

The humidity recorded at 8.30 am was 55 per cent, according to IMD.

"The skies will remain partly cloudy today and there is a possibility of rain and thundershowers towards late evening," the official added.

On Wednesday the minimum and maximum temperatures were recorded at 29.8 and 38.6 degrees Celsius respectively.
