Khandwa:
A local court awarded life imprisonment to two sisters who had poisoned one of their
relatives to death.
According to the prosecution, Suraj Bai, after the death of her husband Panna Lal, was staying with a relative Hari and her sister Bhuri Bai, had come there for delivery.
Last year on September 21, Suraj Bai had a dispute with Hari and following this, she and her sister poisoned his food, leading to his death.
They later hung his body on a tree to make it appear like a suicide case. However, investigations revealed that Hari was poisoned.
