Spurred by a Bollywood movie starring action hero Suniel Shetty, a student of class IX allegedly strangled to death a six-year-old boy in a residential colony here.
Fourteen-year-old boy Mithilesh allegedly strangulated Vikas Yadav, a student of Upper KG, in Narain Vihar colony yesterday, police said.
After strangulating him, the teenager dumped his body in a deserted place in the colony, they said.
The body was later recovered and Mithilesh arrested, police said.
The teenager told his interrogators that Vikas used to complain against him to his grandfather and this had infuriated him.
He further said a Suniel Shetty-starrer Hindi film, which he saw on TV recently, spurred him to commit the crime, DSP Vijendra Vij said.
