Volkswagen Virtus Achieves Highest-Ever Sales In October 2025

Volkswagen India has reported that its premium sedan, the Virtus, achieved its highest-ever monthly sales in October 2025. Based on the automaker's announcement, 2,453 units of the sedan were sold in the previous month.

For the past two months, Virtus has held a strong position in the premium sedan market, securing over 40 per cent of the market share. According to Volkswagen, this model has led the segment for almost 20 consecutive months, solidifying its status as the category leader.

Commenting on the milestone, Nitin Kohli, Brand Director, Volkswagen India, said, “We are grateful to the loyal Volkswagen customers who have made the Virtus an undisputed leader in the premium sedan segment for nearly 20 months in a row." 

"The Virtus is not just a statement of style and performance, but has truly attained a cult car status similar to many iconic Volkswagen cars, thanks to its well-rounded package. We are delighted to see Virtus sustain and record meaningful growth in the premium sedan segment with a share of over 40 % in just 40 Months,” he added.

This announcement comes alongside another important achievement for Volkswagen's India 2.0 product line. Both the Taigun SUV and the Virtus sedan have collectively surpassed 160,000 units in sales within the domestic market since their launches. As of October 2025, Virtus has now completed 40 months in the Indian market.

The Virtus is recognized for its performance and safety attributes, which include six airbags, more than 40 safety features, 5-star GNCAP safety ratings, as well as engine choices like the 1.0-Litre TSI and the 1.5-Litre TSI Evo. The Virtus GT Plus also holds a national record for a 24-Hour Endurance Drive, covering an impressive distance of 4,654.48 km in just 24 hours.
