The Tata Punch has been one of the brand's most successful models since its debut, maintaining steady sales over the years. While Tata Motors has updated the SUV's features periodically, its overall design has largely remained unchanged. Now, the brand seems to be preparing a facelift version to keep the model aligned with its latest design language, and recent spy shots suggest it's edging closer to production.
Fresh spy shots show two Punch facelift (ICE) test mules on public roads, featuring a dual-tone roof and styling elements resembling the Punch EV. The prototypes appear to be in near-production form, hinting that Tata could be in the final stages of testing before launch, which is expected in the first half of 2026.

Despite heavy camouflage, several design updates can be identified. At the front, the 2026 Tata Punch facelift gets a redesigned bumper which will likely offer the model a fresh look. The main grille has two horizontal slits for air intake, and the LED DRLs now appear slimmer than before. Headlamps are vertically stacked, similar to the layout on the Punch EV, and certain trims may include fog lamps with cornering function. The alloy wheel design is new but remains fully covered in the spy images.
The SUV continues to feature thick black body cladding, which looks unpainted, similar to the current model. One of the test mules also revealed the presence of 360-degree cameras, which may assist with blind-spot monitoring, expanding Punch's safety suite.

Interior updates, seen in earlier spy shots, include a new steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo, a large 10.2-inch touchscreen, and a revised dashboard layout. Feature additions are expected to include ventilated front seats, a 10.25-inch driver display, and possibly Level 2 ADAS.
Under the hood, the Punch facelift is likely to continue with the current 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, along with a CNG variant using the same power plant. The dual-CNG-tank setup and transmission options, including a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT, are expected to be carried forward.
