Tata Punch EV Facelift Variant-Wise Features Explained

Tata Motors has issued the Punch EV Facelift in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 9.69 lakh (ex-showroom). The micro electric SUV comes with major updates, the most significant of which is in terms of pricing policy. Specifically, the automaker has introduced BaaS (Battery-as-a-Service) for the model, bringing down the starting price to Rs 6.49 lakh (ex-showroom), with a battery EMI of Rs 2.6 per km.

While the changes are under consideration, the automaker has updated the model's feature list. Divided among five variants: Smart, Smart+, Adventure, Empowered, and Empowered+, there are a few new additions to the list. Here's how they are spread across the variants. But before we begin, here are the prices of the variants:

Tata Punch EV Facelift: Price List

Tata Punch EV Smart

The Tata Punch EV Smart variant comes equipped with a 30 kWh battery pack and offers several convenient and safety-focused features. It includes high beam alert, LED DRLs, 15-inch steel wheels with hub caps, and connected car technology. Comfort is enhanced through automatic climate control, multi-level regenerative braking, and an illuminated Tata logo on the steering wheel. The driver's seat is height-adjustable, and the car features front power windows along with a 4-inch MID in the instrument cluster. Practical touches like an electric tailgate release and two drive modes, City and Sport.

On the safety front, it is equipped with 6 airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchors, rear parking sensors, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), hill-hold assist, and a tyre-pressure monitoring system (TPMS).

Tata Punch EV Smart+

The Smart+ variant builds upon the Smart trim and is available with both 30 kWh and 40 kWh battery options. It receives an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen, steering-mounted controls, and wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. Users also benefit from a 65W USB Type-C fast charging port, paddle shifters for adjustable regenerative braking, and a remote key with central locking. Additional touches include an anti-glare IRVM and a shark-fin antenna.

The 40 kWh variants get more premium features like a reverse camera, hill-hold control, Eco drive mode, 16-inch steel wheels, an electronic parking brake with auto-hold, and a knurled surround for the drive selector, further elevating the experience.

Tata Punch EV Adventure

Positioned above the Smart+, the Punch EV Adventure packs a 40 kWh battery and focuses on adding convenience and performance aids. It includes push-button start/stop, cruise control, and hill-descent control for added driving ease. The electrically adjustable ORVMs and 16-inch aero-optimised steel wheels enhance both functionality and style.

Tata Punch EV Empowered

The Empowered variant continues with the 40 kWh battery but focuses on advanced tech and premium features. It introduces a 360-degree camera, blind-spot monitor, and a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The cabin experience is elevated by a Harman Kardon sound system, in-built app support, and a 10.25-inch digital driver's display with a navigation view.

Exterior and interior features include 16-inch aero-optimised alloy wheels, auto-folding ORVMs, a rear LED light bar, automatic headlights, rain-sensing wipers, and a rear wiper with defogger. Inside, it adds a cabin air purifier, rear 15W USB Type-C charging port, front armrest with storage, and a cooled glove box, making it one of the most feature-rich variants.

Tata Punch EV Empowered+

At the top of the lineup, the Empowered+ variant adds a layer of luxury and comfort. It retains the 40 kWh battery pack and offers a sunroof with voice activation, leatherette seats, and ventilated front seats for superior comfort. Rear passengers benefit from a dedicated armrest, while the interior gains premium touches such as an auto-dimming IRVM and a wireless charging pad.

For enhanced safety and convenience, this trim also offers SOS calling, LED headlights, LED fog lamps with cornering function, and roof rails, making it the most complete package in the Punch EV lineup.
