Ola Electric has announced that its flagship electric motorcycle, the Roadster X Plus, powered by its indigenously developed 4680 Bharat Cell battery pack, has been certified under the Central Motor Vehicle Rules (CMVR), 1989, by the International Centre for Automotive Technology (iCAT), Manesar. With the approvals in place, the company can begin deliveries of the motorcycle in the coming weeks.
The Roadster X Plus is the first electric motorcycle in India to receive government certification with a fully in-house developed 4680 Bharat Cell battery. The electric motorcycle is equipped with a 9.1 kWh battery offering a range of up to 501 km on a single charge. As per the brand, the long range is because of the high energy density and thermal performance of the 4680 Bharat Cell technology.
