JSW Motor India has officially revealed its new flagship SUV, the MG Majestor, marking a bold step into the premium D+ segment. Positioned as the successor to the Gloster, the Majestor was first seen at Auto Expo 2025, but this launch gives a complete look at its design and features. Pricing will be announced in April 2026, with deliveries scheduled to begin in May. Here's how the Majestor stacks up against the Gloster in terms of design, features, and specifications.
MG Majestor Vs Gloster: Front Design
The Majestor adopts a more rugged and aggressive front fascia compared to the Gloster's urbane styling. It features a split headlamp setup with vertically stacked LED units on the bumper, accompanied by LED DRLs integrated into the grille. The grille itself carries rectangular detailing with chrome touches, while the bumper gets heavy cladding. Unlike the Gloster's chrome-heavy approach, the Majestor uses darker accents for a sportier look.

MG Majestor Vs Gloster: Rear Styling
At the back, the Majestor introduces connected LED tail-lamps, replacing the standalone units of the Gloster. The MG badge has been swapped for "Morris Garages" lettering, and the bumper gains extra cladding. Dual exhaust tips replace the Gloster's quad setup. Dimensionally, the Majestor is slightly larger in width and height, though both SUVs share the same wheelbase.

MG Majestor Vs Gloster: Interior And Features
Inside, the Majestor adopts a fresh cabin layout with a single-tone black theme and silver highlights, contrasting with the Gloster's black-brown finish. It introduces a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a fully digital 12.3-inch instrument cluster. Grab handles on the A-pillar and centre console add practicality, while the gear lever has been moved to the steering column. Seating options remain flexible, with both 6 and 7-seater configurations available.

MG Majestor Vs Gloster: Engine And Performance
Under the hood, the Majestor retains the Gloster's 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine but in a higher tune, producing 215 hp and 478 Nm. It is paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox and offered in both 4x2 and 4x4 layouts. The Gloster, meanwhile, also offers a lower-spec 2.0-litre turbo-diesel variant with 161 hp and 374 Nm.
