Kawasaki has issued a global recall for the Ninja ZX-6R over an engine defect. However, the recall is restricted to the MY24 and MY25 units only. The brand has issued a recall due to major crankshaft issues that may have occurred during the manufacturing process. Also, the brand has issued a notification for the existing users of the Ninja ZX-6R to pause riding on the bike until the issue is addressed after the recall procedures.

The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R is also available in India, but it is still unclear if the recall will be extended to the Indian users of the Ninja ZX-6R. Also, this recall is valid for all the variants, including the KRT Edition and the 40th Anniversary model. The brand claims around 17,800 units are affected in the U.S, and it is working on respective measures for the other markets like Europe, India, and more. While we are waiting to hear it from the brand about the Ninja ZX 6-R's recall in India, it is best advised to avoid using the bike for some time and contact the authorised dealerships for information.

Talking about the details, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R is powered by a 636 cc inline four DOHC engine, which works in conjunction with the 6-speed gearbox. It develops a peak power and torque output of 129 hp and 69 Nm, respectively.

The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R has a single model that is available at a price tag of Rs 11.53 lakh (ex-showroom).
