Hyundai Motor India Limited has announced the appointment of Sunil Moolchandani to its senior management team, effective October 23, 2025. Based on the announcement, he will serve as the Function Head of National Sales for the company. He brings two decades of experience in leading automotive and commercial sectors, driving high-performing teams, and driving market expansion.
Sunil Moolchandani will oversee Hyundai's sales operations and contribute to the brand's goal of consistent growth within the Indian automotive market. HMIL expressed confidence in its ability to guide the sales function toward long-term stability and performance via its announcement.

Before joining Hyundai, Moolchandani held senior roles across several automotive and mobility brands. He has led initiatives related to sales transformation, dealer network expansion, and customer engagement programs. As per the brand, his experience in utilizing data-driven insights, optimizing sales channels, and integrating operational efficiencies aligns with Hyundai's strategic priorities.
HMIL stated that his leadership will support the company's focus on strengthening its sales function and improving coordination between regional and national sales teams. The appointment also reinforces Hyundai's emphasis on developing talent and sustaining its market presence through structured operations.
The recently appointed individual possesses a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pune, which he finished in 1999. He also enhanced his management qualifications by obtaining a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) from the Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development (SCMHRD) in Pune, between 1999 and 2001.
