Hyundai Motor India reported a 6.3 per cent year-on-year increase in domestic sales in March 2026, supported by steady demand across its portfolio and a strong month-end finish. The company sold 55,064 units in the domestic market during the month, compared with 51,820 units in March 2025.
The latest monthly performance helped Hyundai close the fourth quarter of FY26 on a strong note. Total sales for March stood at 69,004 units, including 13,940 export units, according to the information revealed by the brand. That marked a broader increase in overall volume, even as domestic growth remained the key driver for the month.

Hyundai's March performance came after a solid February as well, when the company posted domestic sales of 52,407 units and total sales of 66,134 units. The sequential momentum suggests the automaker entered the final month of the financial year with stable demand, aided by product updates and an SUV-led line-up.

The company has been leaning on models such as the Creta and newer product refreshes to sustain demand in a competitive market. Commenting on the sales results, Tarun Garg, MD & CEO - HMIL, said, "Continuing the momentum gained in 2026, we have achieved the highest-ever quarterly domestic sales of 1,66,578 units in Q4 FY2025-26. We remain confident of sustaining the pace with upcoming product interventions like our recently upgraded Hyundai VERNA and EXTER."
"While we stay mindful of the prevailing geopolitical uncertainties, Hyundai Motor India Limited is well-prepared for a strong FY2026-27, delivering aspirational, connected and innovative products, along with an unmatched customer experience and pride of ownership," he added.
For the full financial year, Hyundai Motor India ended FY26 with its strongest quarterly domestic performance in the January-March period and a healthy contribution from exports. The March numbers reinforce the brand's position in India's passenger vehicle market, where domestic demand has remained resilient despite a challenging operating environment.
