Honda Cars India is getting ready to launch the Honda City facelift in the Indian market on May 22, and ahead of the official debut, the updated sedan has now been spotted at dealerships. Recent spy shots have revealed fresh details of the Honda City facelift, including its revised exterior styling, updated lighting setup, and several updates in the cabin. The new Honda City facelift will mark the first major update for the fifth-generation sedan and aims to keep the model competitive in the premium midsize sedan segment.

Honda City Facelift: Exterior & Design

The latest spy images show that the Honda City facelift gets noticeable changes at the front. The updated sedan features redesigned LED headlamps with integrated DRLs placed at the top of the unit. These DRLs are connected through a slim light bar hidden within the revised grille, giving the Honda City facelift a more modern look. The grille itself appears cleaner and sharper than before, while the bumper has been completely redesigned with a sportier appearance. Interestingly, the spotted test car did not feature fog lamps.

The side profile of the Honda City facelift remains largely similar to the current model. Honda has retained the sedan's familiar silhouette, which continues to look elegant and premium. However, the new alloy wheels stand out immediately. The Honda City facelift appears to get fresh black-finished alloy wheels, adding a slightly sportier character to the sedan. The wheel size is expected to remain 16 inches.

For the first time, the rear design of the Honda City facelift has also been revealed through spy shots. The tail lamps appear similar in shape to the current version, although Honda could add a smoked finish for a more aggressive look. The rear bumper has also been revised with a cleaner and sportier design, replacing the older C-shaped styling elements. A more prominent integrated spoiler can also be seen on the boot lid.

Honda City Facelift: Interior & Features

Inside the cabin, the Honda City facelift is expected to receive a larger infotainment touchscreen than the current 8-inch unit. Spy shots suggest the new display could feature a more upright layout. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are also expected to be offered. Apart from this, the Honda City facelift is likely to continue with the same black-and-beige dashboard theme, beige seat upholstery, ambient lighting, and the existing steering wheel design.

Honda City Facelift: Engine Specs

Mechanically, the Honda City facelift is expected to retain the same 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a CVT automatic. Honda is also likely to continue offering the City e:HEV strong-hybrid version, which is known for its impressive fuel efficiency.
