Aprilia India is set to revise the prices of its RS 457 and Tuono 457 motorcycles soon. This price adjustment is part of the brand's strategy announced during the GST revision. The automaker had previously stated that it would absorb the price increases, and the offer of free accessories, which was introduced earlier this year, will conclude on December 31, 2025. With this change in place, both models are expected to see a significant increase in their ex-showroom prices starting in January 2026.
The brand had introduced the price absorption offer in September 2025 to cushion the impact of GST 2.0 on its products. Under this initiative, Aprilia absorbed the additional cost that would have resulted from the new tax structure and bundled in select accessories at no extra charge. The objective was to keep pricing competitive for customers making purchases during the initial GST transition period.

As part of the earlier offer, the Aprilia RS 457 was priced at Rs 4.35 lakh (ex-showroom) and came equipped with a quickshifter as standard. The quickshifter, which was previously sold as an Rs 20,050 optional accessory, was included to enhance value. Additionally, the RS 457 carried a Rs 15,000 price benefit under the GST absorption programme. After December 25, 2025, the RS 457 will be priced at Rs 4.50 lakh (ex-showroom), marking around a Rs 15,000 increase.
For the Tuono 457, the price changes are more significant. The motorcycle was earlier available at Rs 3.95 lakh (ex-showroom) but is now listed at Rs 4.24 lakh, a jump of around Rs 29,000. However, Aprilia is offering a limited-time discount of Rs 10,000, bringing the effective selling price to Rs 4.14 lakh until December 25. The increase for the Tuono 457 is higher than the Rs 15,000 adjustment initially expected when GST 2.0 was introduced.

Aprilia had positioned both the RS 457 and Tuono 457 as entry-level offerings in its lineup, targeting riders seeking Italian performance at relatively accessible price points. While the upcoming price hike may affect their value proposition slightly, the models remain among the most affordable Italian motorcycles available in India.

The end of the price absorption and accessories offer was anticipated, as such benefits were part of a short-term strategy to maintain market stability during the transition to GST 2.0. Both bikes will continue to compete in the sub-500cc segment against rivals from brands such as KTM, Yamaha, and Kawasaki.
