Kawasaki India has launched the 2026 Ninja 650 in the Indian market for Rs 7.91 lakh (ex-showroom). This iteration of the motorcycle comes without mechanical changes and will be on sale alongside the MY25 version. Additionally, the major styling elements of the motorcycle also remain the same. It is to be noted that the middle-weight supersport is among the first models to get the MY26 update in the country. It now stands among the likes of Ninja ZX-10R and Ninja ZX-6R.

While the international market gets multiple colour schemes, the Indian version of the motorcycle has been introduced only with Lime Green paint with white and blue graphics. The international market also has grey Matte Grey and Black paint schemes. Meanwhile, the MY25 version of the motorcycle continues to get Lime Green with Ebony and Pearl Blizzard White.

The 2026 Kawasaki Ninja 650 comes with a few improvements for the upcoming model year. This sport touring motorcycle now features a 4.3-inch TFT screen that enables smartphone integration. Furthermore, it incorporates LED lighting, traction control with two modes, dual throttle valves, and ABS for added safety.

The 2026 Kawasaki Ninja 650 seeks power from the existing 649 cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine. This unit puts out 67 bhp at 8,000 rpm and offers a peak torque of 64 Nm while revving at 6,700 rpm. The power is transferred to the wheel using a 6-speed transmission functioning with an assist-and-slipper clutch.

Based on a trellis frame made out of high-tensile steel, the motorcycle is suspended on 41 mm telescopic forks at the front, offering a wheel travel of 125 mm, and a monoshock at the rear offering 130 mm of wheel travel. While braking performance comes from 300 mm dual twin discs at the front and a 220 mm single disc brake at the rear. The bike holds the ground using 17-inch alloy wheels.

The Kawasaki Ninja 650 has a wheelbase of 1,410 mm, offering a stable ride, while its ground clearance stands at 130 mm. It comes equipped with a 15-litre fuel tank and a seat height of 790 mm. With a curb weight of 196 kg, the bike strikes a balance between handling and road presence.
