Ducati revealed the Desmo450 MX in India during the Indian Supercross Racing League (ISRL) Season 2 finale in Calicut. The motorcycle was unveiled on 21st December, giving fans their first glimpse of the brand's new motocross model. The debut took place in front of an enthusiastic crowd, adding excitement to the event and marking Ducati's entry into India's growing off-road motorcycling scene.
The India reveal allowed motorsport followers to see Ducati's latest off-road machine while highlighting the brand's expanding focus on the Indian market. Presented alongside the championship-deciding race, the Desmo450 MX reflected Ducati's racing heritage and ambition. The collaboration between ISRL, a new franchise-based league, and Ducati, a global performance motorcycle manufacturer, illustrated the evolving motorsport culture in India and the increasing interest in large-scale racing events.

Ducati Desmo450 MX
Talking about the details, the Ducati Desmo450 MX features a new 449.6cc single-cylinder engine with liquid cooling and a four-valve head. Built for off-road performance, it produces about 62 bhp and 54 Nm of torque. The engine has a bore of 96 mm and a stroke of 62.1 mm. Its Desmodromic valve system allows it to reach an impressive rev limit of 11,900 rpm, making it ideal for quick pickup.

The motorcycle's frame is crafted from lightweight aluminum, designed to cut down weight while boosting strength by reducing weld seams. Braking duties are handled by Brembo hardware, with a two-piston floating caliper and 260mm front disc, paired with a single-piston caliper and 240mm rear disc. Suspension comes courtesy of fully adjustable Showa components, featuring 49mm front forks and a rear mono-shock, ensuring adaptability across varied track conditions.

The Ducati Desmo450 MX stands out as the only bike in its class to feature a Desmodromic engine. Designed for both professionals and amateurs, it combines strong yet manageable power delivery with a lightweight aluminium frame, making it fast and easy to ride. Marking Ducati's entry into motocross, the Desmo450 MX is set for its official India launch in the first quarter of 2026.
