Jeep has introduced the MY26 version of the Commander in the international market. This SUV is sold in India as Meridian and is an essential part of the brand's model lineup. While India still has the older version, the international market has received an updated version, which comes with changes in design. Furthermore, the brand has updated the feature list of the SUV to suit the needs of the time.

In the South American market, the Jeep Commander (Meridian in India) has received design changes, which can be seen in the form of a new front fascia. This consists of revised elements, like a new set of headlights with a reflector setup. Additionally, the brand has revised the design of the grille, which is seemingly smaller now.

Step on the inside, and the SUV is more or less the same as before. However, there are changes in the form of a rotary gear selector and a new 360-degree camera. All of this is complemented by the presence of new materials and upholstery. Among multiple other things, the list of features also includes a Level-2 ADAS safety suite.

The Jeep Commander available in South America comes with a Flex engine (Petrol or Ethanol) that delivers 176 bhp and 270 Nm of torque, a 2.2-litre Diesel engine offering 200 bhp and 450 Nm, and a 2.0-litre Turbo Petrol Hurricane4 engine producing 272 bhp and 400 Nm, capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7 seconds.

There is no word from the brand on the launch of an updated Jeep Meridian in the Indian market. However, if and when launched, the SUV might get some of the changes inspired by the Commander.
