Mumbai: As the Maharashtra Assembly polls get nearer, top leaders of the Congress, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) will crisscross the state.

Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi will campaign on Friday in Hingoli, Amravati, Yavatmal and Chandrapur while senior BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani will address a rally in Navi Mumbai.

Also in the fray, farmer widow Babytai Bais, who's contesting in place of Kalawati, will be leading a protest march.

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, who also campaigned in the state during the Lok Sabha polls, will be in three locations in Mumbai - the upmarket Malabar Hill, Borivali-Kandivali and Ghatkopar East and West, where Late Pramod Mahajan's daughter Poonam Mahajan is contesting.

And, contesting in the state polls for the first time, the MNS chief Raj Thackeray will be on his home turf in Sivaji Park.
