COVID-19: St Stephen's To Set Up Resilience Fund For Students Facing Financial Hardships

The St Stephen's College in Delhi is setting up a 'Resilience Fund' to support tuition fees of its students facing financial constraints due to the coronavirus pandemic. The COVID-19 Resilience Fund is being set up to support tuition fees of 50-100 students from the college.

The staff association of the St Stephen's college here has written to the principal, asking for the setting up of a committee to reach out to students facing monetary issues, following an LSR college student allegedly committing suicide over financial constraints in continuing with her studies.

St. Stephen’s College, affiliated to Delhi University, has released its first cut-off list for 2020 and the cut-offs for science have risen across programmes. It has risen most sharply in the case of the two BSc Programme courses, increasing by over a whole percentage point in each case.
