A live-action How to Train Your Dragon movie is in the works at Universal Pictures. The film is slated to release March 14, 2025, and brings Dean DeBlois on board to write, direct, and produce it. The filmmaker is responsible for conceiving all three original animated movies, which also received nominations at the Oscars.
