Ooty:
A 47-year-old high school headmaster was today arrested in Ooty for allegedly attempting to molest a ninth standard girl student, police said.
According to police, there were complaints about Victor, the Head Master of St Theresa's High school at Fingerpost on the city outskirts and also a priest at a local church, that he used to make sexual overtures to girl students.
Police said, the victim complained about the incident to her parents on Monday. When informed about the incident, some students reportedly from DYFI ransacked the school and an activist lodged a complaint about the alleged molestation.
Some parents and relatives of girl students also gave a petition to the police, alleging that Victor used to misbehave with the students, police said.
Based on the complaints, Victor was arrested last evening.
