When Kaveri Kapur, the 15-year-old daughter of Suchitra Krishnamoorthi and Shekhar Kapur, released her first song 'Did You Know' on YouTube on Friday, it was received with open arms by Bollywood.
Among those tweeting their praise was superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who was Ms Krishnamoorthi's first hero in her breakout film, 1993's Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa. SRK also tweeted in response to Mr Kapur.
Like Kaveri's showbiz entry, another big debut story that kept Twitter busy on Friday was the release of the trailer of Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's upcoming movie Mirzya, out this October.
The excitement over Mirzya was largely due to the two newcomers who star in the film - Anil Kapoor's son Harshvardhan and actress Saiyami Kher, niece of Tanvi Azmi.

Also causing a social media traffic jam on Friday was Polish actress Erika Kaar, who was revealed to be making her Bollywood debut in Ajay Devgan's Shivaay. Here's what the Internet has to say about her.
Shivaay, also releasing October, showcases another debutante - Saira Banu's grandniece Sayyeshaa Saigal, who started her career with Telugu film Akhil in 2015.
The trailer of Hrithik Roshan's Mohenjo Daro released earlier this week and had been watched 30 million times in 24 hours. Hrithik's heroine Pooja Hegde is also crossing over from the South. Mohenjo Daro is her first Hindi film.
Aamir Khan's next movie Dangal is also notable for two new actresses who play Babita and Geeta, wrestler daughters of Aamir's character Mahavir Phogat.
Fatima Sana Shaikh, the child artiste who played Kamal Haasan's daughter in the film Chachi 420, plays Geeta Phogat.
Dangal will also be Delhi-based dancer Sanya Malhotra's debut - she plays Babita.
