The three inmates who were accused in rape and loot cases, have also been booked for sexually assaulting a 16-year-old inmate in a protection home in Muzaffarnagar, Assistant Superintendent of the Protection Home, A K Soni told reporters today.

He said that the three inmates who were booked yesterday, had also threatened him, adding that the trio would be shifted to another home for safety.

The incident took place on August 16, police had said.

Police registered the case against the three inmates after the medical report confirmed the act.

In another incident, a teacher of a Madrasa school was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a 12-year-old student at Nagla Rai village under Jhinjhana police station in Shamli district, police said today.

The teacher Idrees Ahmand was arrested in this connection yesterday after the crime was proved in the medical report, they said.

The victim's father has lodged an FIR against the teacher and alleged that his son, who was a student in the Madrasa school was sexually assaulted by his teacher on August 16, 2014, police said.

Meanwhile, the accused teacher has denied the charges and said he was falsely implicated by the student's family over an old enmity.
