Tuesday was a starry affair in New York City all thanks to fashion designer Christian Cowan. The couturier unveiled his futuristic fall 2024 collection at the New York Fashion Week. Needless to say, the collection was a mélange of technology and fashion. Christian Cowan collaborated with Adobe Primrose to reveal the world's first electronically reconfigurable dress. The collection was not only an ode to the night sky and stars but also paid homage to Christian Cowan's late father, who was a scientist. Now, one of the most unique looks that the designer created was the petal dress. The strapless number used the laser-cut polymer that dispersed liquid crystal “petals”. This technique allows patterns to be changed electronically multiple times per second, while the model walks on the runway. Additionally, under each of the petals, Christian applied an underlay with a flexible printed circuit board. This, in turn, allowed the petals to alternate and shift between shades of silver and ivory. The mini dress was attached to a tulle strap on the neckline that matched the loosened evening gloves.
Christian Cowan surely made a lasting impact at NYFW 2024 with novel ideas and accessories. Dressed in a monochrome pantsuit, a model walked with a cigarette in her hands. The peak-collared blazer featured cut-out detailing around her midriff region. The stylish blazer was teamed with flare trousers. The all-white number highlighted an overall contrasting black dots. The model styled the power suit with pointy black pumps.

In one of the looks, a model was seen walking down the ramp with a wine glass in her hand. The all-white look was high on risqué elements. Courtesy: The sheer top. She paired the see-through collared shirt with a pleated mini skirt. We could also see that Christian Cowan added his signature star element through the button detailing on the shirt. The see-through number featured 3D ruffled cuffs. The look was completed with sleek silver pumps
