Deepika Padukone is killing it style-wise, one outfit at a time. The 31-year-old actress began promoting her new film Padmavati a while ago and she's been a dream to look at in a series of utterly fabulous outfits. Padmavati, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, is a few weeks away from release - December 1 is the ETA - which means we can hopefully look forward to some more great ensembles. Deepika's stylist Shaleena Nathani dutifully logs each look on Instagram - so thanks, Shaleena - and we've grabbed the chance to round them up for you (because we're nice like that).
If latest appearances are anything to go, by then Deepika Padukone is equally fabulous in ethnic outfits as she is in high-octane designer gowns as seen at international events like the Met Gala. We'll start this list with the stunning cream and gold striped Raw Mango sari she just appeared in - if you look closely, the blouse is also striped.
Deepika, who plays the title role of Rani Padmini in Padmavati, preceded the Raw Mango number with a Bibhu Mohapatra dress in black and coral distinguished by voluminous sleeves and a train.
This outfit, courtesy Prabal Gurung, is an example of how there some things that look good only on the likes of Deepika Padukone. The hibiscus top has a single sleeve but one that is high on drama, the paler pink pants are cinched in with a wide patent leather belt.
This easy breezy dress reflects Deepika's love for white and boho-chic. The dress is by designer Pratima Pandey and all Deepika needed with it were silver earrings.
Deepika Padukone opened promotions for Padmavati in another Raw Mango sari, this one in a floral print. The blouse, also from Raw Mango, has net sleeves.
Padmavati's costume designers Rimple and Harpreet Narula provided Deepika with this handcrafted ivory chanderi sharara-kurta. Elegant jhumkis, cat-eye eyeliner, nude lips and swept back hair finishes the look.
