Janhvi Kapoor And Malaika Arora's Glorious Gowns With Midriff Cutouts Played Peekaboo On The Red Carpet

Bollywood's red carpet events tend to follow a pattern as far as fashion is concerned. This season, it's all about the classic hue of black as well as a hefty dose of glitter. For the Bollywood Hungama Style Icons Awards 2023 that took place last night, both Janhvi Kapoor and Malaika Arora were right on trend. But to our pleasant surprise, the arrival of a certain kind of cutout took their looks from blah to yeah. Let's start with Janhvi, shall we?

Janhvi Kapoor looks gorgeous

The Bollywood actress picked a glittering gown with a holographic sheen to it. It featured a high neckline and long sleeves with a bodycon fit. Here's where the magic happened. Janhvi's gown saw a wide midriff cutout across the left side of her waist. Shortly below that, the draped style of the gown carried on with a wide slit that lent her with a leg pop. Minimal black heels with the only accessory she had on.

Her hair was tied in a sleek high ponytail while she opted for a razor sharp winged eye to go with it. A touch of bronzer was visible on her cheeks and she added in a muted nude lip.

Malaika Arora in the city

For Malaika, the colour of the moment was what she went with. The Bollywood celebrity picked a gorgeous muted gown for the occasion, which much like Janhvi's, also featured long sleeves and a high neckline. However Malaika's took it a step further with two cutouts on either side of her waist and an open back. The column silhouette added finesse to her fit.

Malaika's hair was pulled back in a rope-style braid and her eyes showcased a winged out eyeshadow look along with blushed cheeks and a glossy lip. Looks like midsection cutouts are set to be the new red carpet trend starting with Malaika Arora and Janhvi Kapoor.
