Mumbai:
Anil Ambani's now involved in a new controversy.
A leaked government report alleges that Reliance Communications over-reported its revenue by Rs 2,915 crore in 2007-08. Sources claim that the audit report also accuses Anil's company of evading licence and spectrum fee to the tune of Rs 300 crore.
But Rcomm says the report was never discussed with them, and the auditor's comments seem biased and instigated by rivals. The company insists that all revenues for 2007-08 have been correctly reported.
The auditors have refused to comment and the Department of Telecommunications is yet to officially respond to the report.
