New Delhi:
Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel took a cautious stand on the Rajnath plane issue on Tuesday, saying it would be premature to point a finger. But he did have a word of advise for VIPs: If the pilot is not comfortable, do not pressurise him to fly.
The minister said it was too premature to say who was responsible. The DGCA, he said, would conduct an inquiry and was best to wait for the result of that.
"The fact is the pilots should do their job in the best interest of safety and follow all rules. The rulebook is there and pilots, if they are flying in VFR (visual flight rules) conditions, are not supposed to fly after sunset. If at all there has been any issue it can be addressed after enquiry is complete," Patel said.
