PM Narendra Modi Announces Lucky Draw Schemes For Digital Payments

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is addressing the nation through his radio programme 'Mann Ki Baat'. On Sunday, the PM had asked the people to share their suggestions for the programme.

• This scheme will last for 100 days (from Sunday). As such lakhs of people will get crores of rupee
• Award schemes have been launched to encourage shift to cashless
• There has been 200-300% growth in cashless transactions after November 8
• On the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti -- April 14 2017 -- we will be conducting a bumper draw in which the winning price will be in crores
• We should be at the forefront of using digital means to make payments and transactions
• Like last month, many suggestions, inputs and comments were based on the decision on our fight against corruption and black money
• People have written to me in detail about the difficulties faced by people following notes ban
• There are some who have given suggestions on measures taken by them after demonetisation
• Many are writing that the fight against corruption has to continue
• Attempts are being made to spread rumours; some people claimed that even Rs 100, Ra 10 rupee notes will also be scrapped
• I salute people for unmasking those spreading rumours
• Based on the feedback and response of citizens, we are changing rules for convenience of people
• Some people have spread rumours that political parties were informed before demonetisation.
• Law is equal for all. Be it any individual or any political party
• Black money hoarders are being nabbed across the country
• Our youths have made significant progress in start ups, to make India a world leader in technology
• India rose in the World Economy in the past few days.

• India ranked 32nd in the Global Competitiveness Report of the World Economic Forum
• There was an all round fury around what happened during Parliament session
