Can't ignore expectations of party workers: BJP hints at Narendra Modi elevation

Panaji: On the final day of the BJP conclave in Goa, spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain addressed the media. He hinted at the possible elevation in the role for Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi- an announcement to that effect, will happen soon, he said.

Here are the highlights of what Mr Hussain said today:

• On day two of the BJP conclave, former president Nitin Gadkari tabled our political resolution that highlighted the misrule of the Congress-led UPA
• Shivraj Singh Chouhan gave his nod in the proposal
  
• The four years of corruption under UPA was mentioned in the BJP conclave
• Congress has no right to celebrate and instead should be asking for forgiveness to the people of this country for their ruling
• If there is a ray of hope for the people of the country, it is the BJP
• Manohar Parrikar said there are two cabinets in the Congress - Manmohan Singh's cabinet and Sonia Gandhi's Congress. Whatever Manmohan Singh's cabinet decides, Sonia Gandhi's cabinet disagrees with it
• People have a lot of hope in the BJP
• On Narendra Modi: We cannot ignore the party workers' expectations. We will soon make an announcement before meet end. The announcement will be made in a few minutes.
• BJP will begin its jail bharo andolan that had been put on hold after the Naxal attack in Chhattisgarh
• Jail Bharo Andolan against UPA misrule will be from June 17 to 22
• Congress is scared of the BJP. Congress believes Narendra Modi is a strong leader
• Congressmen have a fear-factor as Narendra Modi has beaten them in Gujarat many times.
• Congress has spread the dirt, that is why we are saying we will spread 'amrith' with the symbol that signifies our party. 
• We don't need anyone to give us secularism certificate, nor will we go asking for it.
• BJP will be able to serve the country like no else.
  
• On Advani's blog:  He has always attacked Congress through these blogs and his writings.
  
• BJP Chief has already conveyed that we have Advaniji's blessings.
  
• If anyone can answer Congress then it is only us , we will strive towards eliminating that party. 
• In the BJP everyone is secular. No one can say one leader is not secular.
  
• Either the whole party is secular or  the whole party is communal.
  
• We believe in nationalist ideology. We don't need a certificate from anyone to prove we are secular.
  
• We have the same thinking - Narendra Modi, Arun Jaitley , Advani, Sushma Swaraj, everyone...
