Cannot move ahead with NCTC without consensus from all states: highlights
Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde today addressed the media on the National Counter Terrorism Centre.

Here are the highlights:

On NCTC:
  • NCTC-proposed draft has been given to the Chief Minister's to take their views on the draft
  • We thought we will take their opinion first and then take it to Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) 
  • When the complete examination is done then we will decide on putting the draft forward in CCS
  • Centre and States will have work through a consensus 
  • No white paper on what we done to improve the internal security as demanded by Mr Modi.
  • Modi has been attending these internal security meetings for the last 9 years he should know what all has been done
On Maoist attack:
  1. Take strict action that is the direction that has been given
On Jindal:
  • CBI will do their work I can't comment on that
  • If he is involved, according to law, whatever needs to be done will be done
On Andhra Pradesh ministers resigning:
  • Just 2-3 ministers have resigned, don't have the complete report

On paramilitary forces to West Bengal:

  • Yes it will be given to West Bengal government
  • The Chief Minister spoke to me yesterday

On Advani's resignation letter saying-BJP leaders are playing self-centric politics:

  • I believe if he said it, he must have said the truth
