Over the past two days, hundreds of media crews have followed all the action in the Advani vs BJP story, with the action mostly centered around two homes, those of LK Advani and Rajnath Singh.
I have been "privileged" to watch the action from close quarters at Mr Advani s place. And perhaps been lucky to have managed to cover it without any major injuries!
As a big leader would descend on Mr Advani's house, hundreds of camera crews would push, shove and jostle for prime space of the windowpane where the leader on question was seated and thrust a mike to his face. The one question mostly asked "Advani ji maan gaye kya (has Mr Advani come around?)."
Some leaders dared to roll down their car windows. The more adventurous actually emerged from their vehicles to address the crowd. All of this, leading to even more chaos.
All hell broke loose though, when media crews were asked to set up inside Mr Advani's house, in anticipation of a compromise. Hundreds of crews choked the one small passage to Mr Advani's house, causing a near riot.
