Jaundice is a condition of excessive build up of a substance called bilirubin in the blood. Its common symptoms include:
- dark urine
- pale stools
- yellow pigmentation of the skin; eyes also turn yellow
- inside of the mouth (mucous membranes) turn yellow
- abdominal pain, systemic symptoms like anorexia, vomiting, fever
