Why is my wife passing food particles through urine?

If it is true that she is passing rice and food in urine, the only way it could be explained is that there is perhaps an abnormal communication between her intestines and the urinary system. She needs investigations to diagnose whether such communication exists and if what is the possible cause. Kindly consult a urologist.
