What Samantha Said About Keerthy
In an interview with Galatta Plus, Samantha said, "Keerthy, at 2 am, you have to run away. It's not like she drinks or anything, but she is like hypermax, and she will destroy you in 0.3 seconds. She has an incredible sense of humour. She is the best. She is the funniest girl I know."
Later, when Keerthy appeared on the show, she was shown Samantha's clip. Keerthy reacted, "Oh, she was so sweet. She spoke so much."
When Keerthy Revealed Samantha Recommended Her
Keerthy revealed that her dear friend Samantha Ruth Prabhu recommended her name for Atlee's Hindi production Baby John.
Keerthy said, "She probably had me in mind when this was happening; that's what Varun also told me. I can't be grateful enough for that. It's so sweet of her to say, 'Keerthy will be able to pull off this character.' Her performance in Theri is one of my favourites in Tamil. Honestly, I was very scared."
For the unversed, Samantha Ruth Prabhu played Keerthy's role in the Tamil version, Theri.
Samantha also gave a shout-out to Keerthy soon after Baby John's trailer was released. "I remember her posting a story on Instagram after watching the trailer of Baby John, saying, 'I wouldn't have shared this one with anyone else, but you.' It was so sweet and meant a lot to me," Keerthy added.
Keerthy and Samantha shared screen space in Nag Ashwin's 2018 Telugu period drama Mahanati. Keerthy won a National Award for Best Actress for the film.
Meanwhile, Samantha keeps exploring opportunities across platforms. After her appearance in Citadel: Honey Bunny, she is gearing up for her Telugu film Maa Inti Bangaram, which she is also producing. She also has the ambitious series Rakt Brahmand in hand, along with potential collaborations on big-budget projects.
