New Delhi: The Story So Far

It's been a couple of days since actress Sonam Kapoor was trolled for her tweet about the meat ban in Mumbai and, after spending a few hours defending herself, announced that she would be sticking to tweeting about subjects in her area of expertise - fashion and brands.

The tweet she was trolled for was one in which she appeared to equate the meat ban with misogyny. No fashion yet but it's only been two days. It might not, however, prove to be the safe choice that Sonam appears to think it is because the Internet doesn't always agree that the 30-year-old actress picked the right outfit to wear. Remember the feathery yellow dress she wore on her last day at Cannes this year? It was shredded on Twitter which compared it to Big Bird from Sesame Street, a hay stack and even Sonam's famously hirsute father Anil Kapoor. Sonam was unfazed by her critics, insisting that she'd loved wearing the dress.
