New Delhi:

It's been nine years since Varun Dhawan burst onto our screens like a breath of fresh air, with unbridled energy in Student Of The Year. The film, which also gave us talents like Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra, was released on October 19, 2012. Spreading love on the occasion, Varun shared a still from the movie. The photo features him in a pair of pink shorts emerging from the pool like a true movie star.  “It's been 9 years,” he wrote in the caption. As expected, fans were overjoyed to celebrate the special day with the actor and dropped heart emojis and congratulatory messages in the comment section. Reacting to the photo, Dharma Productions, which backed the film, wrote, “And, Everyone is still swooning over “dha-wan” and only.”

In addition to this, Varun Dhawan shared another image of himself, presumably from a stage show and wrote, “It's been 9 years. Thank you for believing.” Here comes the fan-made video chronicling Varun Dhawan's journey so far.

Similarly, Sidharth Malhotra also dropped a fan-made poster of all his roles so far, on his Instagram Stories.

It contains images of Sidharth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan from Student Of The Year along with stills of them from Shershaah, Student Of The Year 2 and Kalank, respectively. The caption read, “They grow up so fast.”

Director Karan Johar, who heads Dharma Productions and helmed Student Of The Year, came up with a montage video celebrating the film. He wrote in the caption, “October is just filled with gifts that keep giving - and SOTY is one such... But the ultimate gifts have been these three students, now superstars who keep on giving their absolute best to the field of cinema. Couldn't be prouder and here's to the film that started it all.”
