Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja welcomed their second child, a baby boy, on March 29, 2026. The actress took to Instagram a while ago to share a glimpse of herself in hospital.
The first picture in the Instagram carousel features her hugging her newborn baby boy, while the second shows her eating with a candid expression.
She wrote, "Grateful beyond words. Thank you to HN Reliance Hospital for the most incredible experience as we welcomed our second son into the world. It has truly been exceptional in every way."

Earlier, sharing the happy news on Instagram, Sonam Kapoor wrote, "With immense gratitude and hearts full of love, we are delighted to announce the arrival of our baby boy today, 29 March 2026."
She added, "Our family has grown, and with his arrival, our hearts have expanded in the most beautiful way. Vayu is overjoyed to welcome his little brother, and we feel deeply blessed by this precious new life who has filled our home with happiness and grace. We are grateful to begin this beautiful new chapter as a family of four. With love, Sonam, Anand & Vayu."
The first photo of the newborn was shared by his aunt, Rhea Kapoor. In the picture, Rhea is seen lovingly cradling the baby boy. Sharing the picture, she wrote: "all you need is and in @sonamkapoor's case some super human mom strength."
Sonam Kapoor announced her second pregnancy in November last year. The actress shared a series of pictures on Instagram that featured her wearing an archival Escada pink co-ord set with black stockings and heels. She was seen cradling her baby bump as she posed for the camera. Keeping the caption to the point, Sonam wrote: "Mother", followed by a kissing emoticon.
