On Sunday (May 8), countries across the world celebrated Mother's Day. Social media was flooded with pictures, videos and notes on the power of motherhood. Our favourite Bollywood stars too did not hold back on the special occasion and unearthed some real gems to share on the day. Several adorable throwback pictures of our biggest stars were shared by them on social media platforms much to the delight of fans. Karisma Kapoor, for instance, shared a precious throwback image of herself as a child along with her mom Babita, posing at a restaurant with snow-capped mountains in the background.
The adorable picture is accompanied by an equally sweet caption. In it, Karisma Kapoor said, “Mama and the Mountains,” with a heart emojis.
Janhvi Kapoor shared a moving throwback image of her late mother, superstar Sridevi. In the caption, the star poured her heart out and said, “Even in your absence, I feel your love every day. Even in your absence, you're the best mother in the world. Love you.”
Parineeti Chopra left fans smiling as she shared a picture of herself as a baby giving her mom, Reena Chopra a kiss in a precious vintage post. In the caption, she wrote, “Happy mothers' day Momma,” and also tagged her brothers, Sahaj Chopra and Shivang Chopra.
Rajkummar Rao shared two pictures – one, a throwback image of his late mother and a recent picture from his wedding featuring him alongside his mother-in-law and wife, Patralekhaa. In the caption, he wrote, “My Strength, My World, My Everything. There is nothing more powerful in the world than Mother's blessings. Happy Mother's Day guys.”
Huma Qureshi shared not one but an entire video of throwback pictures featuring her brother Saqib Saleem and her as children with their mom and dad. In the caption, Huma said, “Dear Mommy! Happy Mother's Day from your favourite child who inherited all your best genes, your smile and your madness.”
Kunal Kemmu shared a set of pictures that began with a throwback image of him as a toddler in the arms of his mother. Also seen in the post are pictures of his wife Soha Ali Khan and mother-in-law Sharmila Tagore. In the caption, he wrote, “Ma tujhe salaam.”
Ananya Panday's mom and designer Bhavana Pandey shared a throwback image of herself that was taken soon after she gave birth to her daughter. In the caption she wrote, “Happy Mother's Day to all the beautiful and super strong mommies out there. And to the day I became a mommy for the first time thank you Ananya Panday, Rysa Panday for making me what I am as a mom today. Loving all that comes with it.”
