New Delhi: It's only Monday but #ThrowbackThursday should pretty much be every day, particularly when Kajol has pictures of herself from 25 years ago to post. The 42-year-old actress is celebrating her quarter century as an actress - she made her debut in Bekhudi 25 years ago on July 31, 1992. The film tanked and so did her hero, Kamal Sadanah, but Kajol surfed from success to success, starring in films like Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Gupt and Dushman. After Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham in 2001, Kajol has made films only very sporadically - so we might be forgiven for not remembering what she looked like 25 years ago (heck, sometimes we don't remember what she looked like last month, so often does Kajol vanish from public sight).

Lucky for us, she had this photograph handy. "So much love for so long. Truly humbled," Kajol wrote on Instagram.

On Twitter, Kajol shared another picture featuring her parents - late father, filmmaker Shomu Mukherjee, and mother, veteran actress Tanuja.

25 years ago, life was very different for Kajol - for starters, she was fast friends with Karan Johar, who worked on DDLJ and later directed her in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, K3G and My Name Is Khan. She is now married to actor Ajay Devgn, has two children and has ended the dostana with KJo, who has written at length about how he's cut the actress out of his life. In his autobiography, Karan Johar writes that Kajol 'can never come back' into his life and blames Ajay for the breakdown in their relationship. For her part, Kajol has indicated that there's zero chance of a professional reunion with her former friend.

Kajol is currently promoting her new film VIP 2, expected to release later this month. The film, directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth and co-starring Dhanush, is in Tamil - Kajol's second film in the language after 1997's Minsara Kanavu.
