Mumbai: While most of us would take off on our honeymoons soon after the wedding celebrations ended, Imran Khan stayed back and finished his film projects instead.

The actor, who tied the knot with Avantika Malik in January, only just got the opportunity to enjoy time off with his wife; his first holiday in four years.

Says the actor, "The honeymoon was more relaxing than exciting! But I did play the good husband and carried Avantika's shopping bags."

Well, no one said marriage was easy!

Interestingly, his next releases have a lot to do with the M-word Mere Brother Ki Dulhan and Short Term Shaadi.

He adds, "If you think I Hate Love Stories (with actress Sonam Kapoor) was filmy, MBKD is even more exaggerated. I never thought would be able to do such a filmy role, but it was fun."

There is another issue, however, that's keeping the actor busy these days. And it has nothing to do with his onscreen escapades.

Before the release of Delly Belly, Imran had made a promise to the youth of the country that he would take on the Maharashtra government against the new law that increased the age limit for alcohol consumption to 25 years.

His film came, was not just declared a hit, but also the most defining work of his career...in the bargain everyone conveniently forgot about his much-hyped Public Interest Litigation (PIL) plans.

Fortunately, it looks like the actor is staying true to his word.

He says, "An announcement will be made within the next four to five days on that front. There is major development happening, which I can't really reveal as of now."

Well, hopefully, before the release of his next film his fans under 25 will have something to say cheers about!
