X-Men regular Hugh Jackman shared the poster of the movie and along with it, what appears to be the name of the much talked-about Wolverine film on Twitter on Wednesday. The third Wolverine movie is called Logan, exactly what Mr Jackman's mutant character is commonly known as in the X-Men films. X-Men spin-offs - X-Men Origins: Wolverine and The Wolverine released in 2009 and 2013 respectively.

Logan will apparently feature a duel of sorts between Wolverine and genetic-obsessed scientist Mister Sinister.

In 2015, the 47-year-old actor confirmed that his appearance in the third Wolverine film will be his last as the onscreen adaptation of the Marvel comic character, reported aceshowbiz.com. "This will be my last one. It is my last time. It just felt like it was the right time to do it. And let's be honest, 17 years. I never thought in a million years it would last, so I'm so grateful to the fans for the opportunity of playing it. I kind of have in my head what we're going to do in this last one. It just feels like this is the perfect way to go out," he said.

The cast of Logan also includes names like Stephen Merchant, Elise Neal and Boyd Holbrook. Patrick Stewart will return as Professor X - Charles Xavier.

Logan is reportedly set in the future - in a world which has been taken over by supervillains. Logan is scheduled to release on March 3, 2017.
