Nick Jonas paid tribute to American producer, director, and writer Craig Zadan by sharing an emotional note on his Instagram account on Wednesday. The 25-year-old singer, who guest starred in the television series Smash (which was co-produced by Craig Zadan), shared a file photograph, featuring the late producer along with his business partner and friend Neil Meron. Nick wrote: "Heartbroken, hearing the news about my dear friend Craig Zadan. Such a kind soul. An inspiration to many. He and Neil Meron were responsible for a huge moment in my life where I grew as a man and a performer. I am so grateful to have known you. We will all miss your smile Craig. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this time." Craig Zadan died at the age of 69 at his Los Angeles home on Monday, from complications from a recent shoulder replacement surgery.

Craig Zadan had produced several television shows and films including NBC's The Sound of Music Live!, Chicago and Hairspray. He was the co-owner of the production house Storyline Entertainment along with Neil Meron. Craig Zadan also served as the executive producer for several editions of the Academy Awards. Craig's talents were not merely confined to producing TV shows and films. He was also a director, an accomplished writer and wrote for New York magazine.
Nick Jonas recently got engaged to Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra in a traditional roka ceremony, which was organized at the actress' Mumbai residence over the weekend. Nick's parents Denise Miller-Jonas and Paul Kevin Jonas also attended the ceremony. Nick and Priyanka had first met at Met Gala in 2017.
Nick Jonas is an American singer, who began his music career in 2002. Nick is best known for singing tracks such as Lovebug, Chains and Introducing Me among others.
