Before entering the show, she posted a video for her fans on social media, confirming her participation.
Bigg Boss 11, like last year, has two sets of participants – celebrities and the non-celebrities. Manveer Gurjar, a non-celebs, was Bigg Boss 10’s winner. Of her strategy, Hina Khan told Hindustan Times that she is not dependent on her fan base but is also here to prove herself. “Bigg Boss is not about how much fan base you already have. There are even commoners (like in the last season) who won the show without having any fans. I am therefore not going in with the baggage of my fan base, but just to prove myself,” she told Hindustan Times.
Apart from Hina Khan, the Bigg Boss 11 line-up also includes - Shilpa Shinde, Vikas Gupta, Hiten Tejwani, Priyank Sharma, Benafshaa Soonawala, the celebrities while Jyoti Kumari, Sshivani Durgah, Sapna Choudhary, Puneesh Sharma, Zubair Khan, Akash Anil Dadlani, form the non-celeb group. Sabyasachi Satyapathi, Luv Tyagi, Mehjabi Siddiqui and Lucinda Nicholas are the four padosis.
