Ali Fazal, busy with promotions for his next Mirzapur — The Film, asked fans to revisit Mirzapur episodes but with a specific timeline. During a promotional event in Bihar, Ali Fazal said fans don't need to watch the entire three seasons to connect the dots with the film. He said that fans need to watch episodes 1–6 from season 1.
The actor said, "Everyone must go home and watch Series 1, but only till episode 6. From episode 6 the story of the movie starts and revolves."
What's There in Episode 6?
Episode 6, titled "Barfi," marks a major shift in Guddu and Bablu's journey. After proving their worth to Kaleen Bhaiya and gaining the upper hand in the illegal arms business, the brothers are entrusted with the responsibility of spreading the opium-smuggling network, called Barfi.
Kaleen Bhaiya gives them the responsibility of expanding the operation but warns them against changing the system he has established.
The episode also focuses on Munna Tripathi's increasingly volatile relationship with power. During a Holi gathering attended by important mafia and political figures from Purvanchal, a wrestling match becomes a matter of prestige. JP Yadav and Munna place bets on the match, but JP's side suffers a setback.
Episode 6 also introduces a major challenge to the Tripathi empire in the form of SSP Ram Sharan Maurya. Unlike the police officers already operating under the influence of the local mafia, Maurya is determined to tackle crime without compromising his principles.
The episode also takes Guddu and Sweety's relationship a step ahead. Sweety introduces Guddu to her father, Parshuram Gupta, who works as a corrupt police officer connected to Kaleen Bhaiya. Parshuram recognises Guddu's rapidly increasing influence and approves of the match.
About Mirzapur - The Movie
The teaser introduces new actors such as Ravi Kishan and Jitendra Kumar, who have joined the Mirzapur mayhem. With the original cast including Pankaj Tripathi, Divyenndu, Sheeba Chaddha and Shweta Tripathi, Ali Fazal is seen immersing himself into the skin of Guddu Bhaiya, aspiring to build an empire to rule the Purvanchal region of Uttar Pradesh. Gore, violence and blood are synonymous with the series. We will have to wait to see what twists and turns are infused to make the story a perfect big-screen watch.

About Mirzapur - The Series
Created by Karan Anshuman and Puneet Krishna, the series first released in November 2018.
The second season released in October 2020 and the third instalment came in 2024. While seasons two and three received mixed responses, the first season was an out-and-out hit, setting the tone and bar for gripping Indian crime dramas.
